The inspiration behind this solo exhibition came after a four-year stay in Madrid. The intention was to present Madrid through an artist’s perspective—my personal experiences of the city held close to my heart. Impressions, colors, longings, and contrasts. I lived in Madrid during Al-Qaeda’s terrorist attack in 2004. The tragic attack, along with a devastating skyscraper fire, has also left its mark on the paintings.
